Indian movie ‘Jawan’ has become the forerunner of the 37th weekend’s box office, only one week through its screening.

The Bollywood movie, directed by Atlee, has gained a ground-breaking success in its first week of being on screen, selling 356,253 tickets. Taken that the movie will continue its prolific revenue, it will set a new record in Dubai box office this year.

So far, ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1’ by Christopher McQuarrie bears the torch and leads the cinema sales with distributing 370,598 passes.

This week, the second slot on the list went to ‘The Nun II’, a horror/thriller directed by Michael Chaves. The film lured 60,114 spectators to the cinemas in Dubai.

The third best-selling movie of the week was another Hollywood production, titled ‘The Equalizer 3’ directed by Antoine Fuqua.

This weekend, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, selling only 2,103 tickets, was not among the top ten.
